The PPD module is designed to try to encourage you to draw together your work life and your study life. As part of your portfolio, you need to include a copy of the job description that your place of work maintains for you. You should then add to this an evaluation indicating the tasks you take on that are above and beyond your identified responsibilities and what you understand to be the 5 key responsibilities you have.

This blog was first started as the Leeds College of Technology Foundation Degree blog. I designed this to get course information to students as quickly as possible in the days before we had Moodle. My background is teaching Drama and English in secondary schools, which I did for several years. I also introduced the Gifted Pupils' initiative to the West Leeds area of Leeds. I moved to the College of Technology to become a Senior Tutor and to share joint responsibility for the Tutorial system. As well as this, I am responsible for the delivery of Personal and Professional Development on Level 4 Computing courses. The addition of the 'My So-Called Life' part of the blog is recent. I have spent many years encouraging my students to keep blogs and reflective journals that formalise those internal conversations we have with ourselves. However, being a hypocrite, I did not keep one of my own - until now. If I believe that blogging supports my students and enables them to become better learners - and I do - then I should make the effort to improve my own ability to learn by maintaining a blog of my own. Struggling on this one, as I no-one has done a job description for my post, but there are ones for newer, lower roles. I've been pestering for one for a few months soI'm doubtful one will be done any time soon
Any way around this? Could probably get the role profile for the original job advert (will be high level) or maybe a job description for a role I'd like to go into?
